Feeling crafty

I’ve had a bit of time on my hands this week and I thought ‘You know, I could totally make something’. I looked at my brand new sewing machine and I thought, ‘Yup, let’s do it’. Then once I got it out I realised how tiny our apartment is (and how much mess I make when I sew) and that put me off this brilliant idea altogether. So instead of making something myself I thought I’d write about a crafty lady who is making uber cool things.

My gorgeous friend Amy Targett is insanely crafty and creative. And from New Zealand.  She set up the Little Kiwi’s Nest online store which lets crafty ladies sell their own creations. It’s like a mini Etsy but all based around mums who make things and want to share the love.

Amy also makes things under the Made It Baby label and APT CreatioNZ label, both being stocked on Little Kiwi’s Nest.  She’s also a mum of 2, so with all that thrown together I have no idea how she gets anything done.

I particularly love her Winston the Owl and the colourful Peg Its and I’m totally waiting for our nieces or nephews to have their birthdays so I can shop up a storm.

If you’re looking for cool New Zealand made children’s clothing or gifts or you need to send a pressie to a cool kid in New Zealand then visit Little Kiwi’s Nest http://www.littlekiwisnest.co.nz.
