Event: High Heels Society

The High Heels Society is a monthly get together of Brisbane’s fashionistas who LOVE shoes. Hosted by Damien Rossi – Brisbane’s own Mr. Hollywood and The Sunday Mail entertainment and celebrity news columnist, the event takes place at the gorgeous Limes Hotel rooftop bar in Fortitude Valley.

I went last night for the very first time and I had a blast. As we walked in just after 6pm (fashionably late of course, although only slightly) we were greeted by delicious Japanese Slipper cocktails – my absolute favourite and so appropriate!

The turnout was great with ladies arriving well past 7pm – the only shame is that those that were late missed the shoe competition. Oh well, there’s always next month!

There were prizes for the best and brightest summer heels, including a $100 voucher from Princess Chic shoes. One lucky lady will be using this voucher to get some gorgeous custom made shoes as we speak! You can get your very own here http://www.princesschic.com.au.

I do have to mention the delicious canapes that were served through the evening. Limes Hotel really looked after us with champagne, cocktails and nibbles and it was evident all the ladies were having fun. There was even one very brave bloke who joined the event for a while, and I’ve decided that he must be the bravest man in Brisbane.

Next month the High Heels Society event will also feature Pretty Woman on the big screen, as a part of Limes Hotel rooftop cinema screenings. So what are you waiting for, register your interest now and go shopping for some killer heels.

Our lovely host asking us about our shoe obsessions.

Tanya from Princess Chic, such a lovely lady!

The bravest man in Brisbane!

Yum yum! Limes Hotel really put on a spread.

ACTUAL shoes worn by Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. If they were mine they’d be in a bulletproof vault, protected from myself.

Looking good girls! Love the stripe on stripe and the colour blocking on the left. Very nice indeed.

Glowing and just gorgeous. Pink and grey work so well together and black and nude is such a classic. Can’t fail!

You can tell they love shoes! I had to stop staring eventually, but only to take this photo.

Polished yet fun. I love the pink highlights with classic black, fantastic combination.

Honourable mention in the competition.
