It’s February and my New Year’s resolution is going great! What is it you ask? To get out more, meet people and blog about cool folks and cool things in Brisbane.

I’ve been here for almost two years and I’m already feeling right at home. At the same time I’ve been relying on being invited to places and I haven’t really been discovering much on my own. So this year that’s all going to change.

Last night hubby and I went to the Limes Hotel for a rooftop screening of Zoolander. Epic movie, epic venue. Limes Hotel is my favourite place in the Valley (Fortitude Valley that is), it’s modern and international but it fits beautifully into Brisbane. Saying that, I’ve never been to their rooftop cinema before and I’ve been hearing great things.

The evening was hosted by Mr Hollywood, Damien Rossi. There was the Zoolander trivia (with glasses of Moet as prizes) and a Blue Steel competition. It was actually pretty hilarious! Trivia was fun but the Blue Steel comp was awesome.  A short walk down the red carpet and your best Zoolander face might just win you a $50.
